Rule 80. Persons authorised to attest

80.1 The rule
Affidavits shall be sworn or affirmed before an advocate or notary, who shall affix his official seal.
80.2 What it does
Rule 80 closes the class of persons before whom a GSTAT affidavit may be sworn to two — an advocate and a notary — and imposes one physical requirement on the act: the attester affixes his official seal.
