Rule 57. Calling of cases in court
Chapter VI · Record of Proceedings
57.1 The rule
Subject to the orders of the Bench, the Court officer shall call the cases listed in the cause list in the serial order.
57.2 What it does
Rule 57 is one sentence and it does two things. It makes the published cause list the running order of the day, so that a party can see where in the day the matter sits; and by opening with "subject to the orders of the Bench", it makes that order defeasible at the Bench's discretion.
